Priorities
Cancer Voices SA key objectives:
- encourage those with experience of cancer to contribute to all levels of decision making about the disease
- ensure cancer patients, carers and supporters receive the best possible information and worlds best practice treatment, care and support
- ensure cancer patients, their carers and supporters are
well represented to health professionals, government and the public - ensure those affected by cancer are treated equally regardless of their geographical location, social or economic status, age, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, stage or type of cancer.

The draft plan was developed by the Executive Team and is based around response by consumers to a survey conducted in late 2006.
Multi-Disciplinary Care Teams and Complementary Therapies
Cancer Voices SA are seeking the integration of multi-disciplinary care teams (MDCT’s) and complementary therapies into cancer treatment and care pathways. This work is being facilitated through 2 CVSA members who are the consumer representatives on the State Cancer Clinical Network.
The Chair of Cancer Voices SA (Ashleigh Moore) is also the Chair of the Complementary Therapies Working Group within the Cancer Clinical Network.
